Mindful Living: New Year Resolutions and Completing The Task You've Started

By living with purpose you will uplift your energy levels, self-confidence and enthusiasm.
Boost your enthusiasm for the difficult task by first completing something that comes to you naturally yet it is still challenging.  Pay attention to the kind of effort and self-encouragement it takes for you to finish what you’ve started.  Also, in the end, it is often very exciting and exhilarating to know you have done something worthwhile.  Take the feelings and emotions that you experienced in the process of completing the task that came to you naturally and remind yourself of these feelings when you are doing something that is less enjoyable or more difficult for you. Take the time to make your journey special, so when you reach your destination you will not feel empty or exhausted.
When you are defining your goals, define them in words that motivate you to live with a pro-active attitude.  For instance, instead of saying I want to loose 10 pounds, say to yourself: I take brisk and energizing walks 3 times a week.
